Abstract:
The development of optical frequency comb technique greatly pushed the revolutionary progress in laser-based precision spectroscopy, which shared the 2005 Nobel prize in physics. Following the history of time-frequency standard, the basic pricinple and background of optical frequency comb techniques are reviewed in this paper, the applications and the latest research activities are also briefly introduced. Finally, based on the analysis on the inventive work, I give some simple comments on the style of scientific research.
